Monuments for Fishes

Steelpipes played a behind-the-scenes role in Monuments for Fishes, one of Sydney Harbour’s most distinctive public artworks at Watermans Cove, Barangaroo South. Created by acclaimed artist Mikala Dwyer, the installation is one of the largest floating and kinetic artworks of its kind in the world.

Embedded deep within the seabed of Darling Harbour, the steel piles form a critical part of the structure supporting and anchoring the artwork while allowing it to move with the tides.
