FORMULAS USED IN PHYSICAL PIPE CHARACTERISTICS

EXAMPLE

For a pipe with an outside diameter of 750mm and a wall thickness of 14.3mm calculate the
weight of an 18.0m length of pipe.

Pipe Weight = (750 – 14.3) x 14.3 x 0.02466 x Length
  = 259.43 kg/m x 18.0m
  = 4,670 kg or 4.67T
